R you serious?

It’s been difficult to avoid the ads on TV for a new R-rated film. The classification makes the film technically off-limits to anyone younger than 18. That’s not a problem for the advertising folks, though. They decided to turn the pesky classification problem on its head, and came up with these enticing words to make sure┬áthe young testosterone-charged viewers know exactly what the rating means:

“Rated R for strong, brutal violence throughout.”

Evidently classifications aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on (if they’re even printed anymore).
