Is your book ready for an agent?  Ready for publication?

Dream of having your book published?

Is your work for a literary agent or publisher?

Or have you been submitting your unsolicited manuscript – and not hearing back?

Hello, I’m Virginia Lloyd. For many years I’ve been helping writers and experts develop their work and get published. I’m a published author and copywriter who has also worked with fiction and nonfiction writers as an in-house book editor (Picador/Macmillan), as a literary agent, a freelance editor, a book developer, and as a writing mentor.

Writing is by its nature a solitary pursuit. At the quiet of your own desk it’s hard to know if your work is ready for the world. If you’re new to the business end of publishing – the mysterious realm of literary agents and book publishers – it can feel impenetrable and daunting. And if you’ve got expertise and an idea for a book, who can you ask about its appeal to a commercial publisher?

There are lots of potholes for the uninitiated – and rarely second chances. That’s where I can help.

‘One of the most important hours I have ever spent talking about my writing.

‘In terms of guidance, Virginia is as sensitive as a needle on a compass.  I now know the direction in which I’m heading. ‘ ~ Virginia Peters, author of Have You Seen Simone? (Black Inc, 2014)
